The term stainless steel is said to have originally been used to describe a cooking knife made from new metal. Currently, it refers to rust-resistant steel. It is also sometimes written as Kuji in stainless steel.
Definition of stainless steel

18-8 stainless steel (sus304) contains 8% nickel in addition to 18% chromium.

Its tensile strength at 600°C is about 3 to 5 times that of carbon steel, eight kg/m㎡, making it ideal for high-temperature machine parts. Since austenitic stainless steel is non-magnetic, it is also used in some electronic components, medical equipment, and special weapons.
Characteristics of duplex stainless steel

Features of ferritic stainless steel
